Text Box: HammerFest 2010 will feature Gordon Williams, Blacksmith instructor for the Bill Pieh Resource for Metalwork in Camp Verde, Arizona and owner of the Victory Forge. Gordon will be demonstrating a number of techniques on Saturday and Sunday. Gordon Williams has been blacksmithing since 1990, full-time since 1998. He has a production workshop in which he creates home exterior/interior hardware, lamps, fire sets, coat and pot racks and exhibits at several leading arts and crafts shows. He is a favorite demonstrator for the Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association (AABA) and other ABANA Chapters and often demonstrates before the public at fairs and festivals. Gordon finds great joy in getting his students “fired up” to unlock their artistic talents and a number of them now have successful blacksmithing businesses.
Schedule for the Weekend:
Friday, no meals but you can cook out on grills. Open forge.
Saturday, 3 meals, Gordon will demonstrate from 9 until 5 with a break for lunch. Open forge after dinner.
