NTxBA November HAMMERFEST Classes
Celeste is based out of Richmond, CA and operates her shop, Clay and Steel. Whether it’s Classes, Events, Commissions, or more, she is actvely engaged in bringing the art and craft of smithing to the public. She demonstrates a wide variety of techniques as she works with steel, bronze, and other media. Celeste’s designs are organic, natural, and showcase her understanding of how to bring metal alive as art and functon.
All Celeste's classes will be at Gaby’s Blacksmith Shop at the Frisco Heritage Museum 8680 Railroad Ave. Frisco, TX 75034

Celeste will instruct students in the forging of a bronze spoon.

The spoon will be functional, and Celeste will demonstrate and teach students how to “make it their own” using forging techniques such as twisting, upsetting, drawing out, and applying forged patterns.

Celeste will apply her expertise working with organic and natural forms to teach students how to transform a simple hunk of unique, hard-to-source, ultra-low carbon steel into a seahorse.

Students will complete this class not only with some valuable knowledge of bringing metal to life using nature, but also with a very cool item made by their own hands. This is one of her signature pieces!
